Rental terms

Arrival and departure
You can arrive at any day of the week. The minimum stay in the villa is 7 nights. Of course you can book more then one week. During the high season at the end of the year the minimum rental period is 14 nights.
The time of arrival will normally be 4 p.m. or later. We ask you to leave the villa at 10 a.m. to give opportunity for our staff to clean the villa for other guests. In the case you want to spend the day of departure in the villa then you’ll have to make a reservation for another night to make that sure. We can’t rent the villa the same day if you leave late.

Reservations, payments and deposit
To make sure that the rental period of your choice will stay available for you, you can ask for a optional reservation. You can then make your flight arrangements. How long that optional reservation will last depends on the availability in that specific period. You will have a couple of days most of the time. If someone else wants to rent the villa in that period you will be given notice and another 24 hours to give you the opportunity to make your reservations definitive.
As soon as you make a normal reservation, we will hold the villa for you for the next ten days. When you make a reservation, you will receive a booking confirmation by e-mail. Within this period of ten days you will have to make a payment in advance. This prepayment is 50% of the rental costs (not including extra costs for the house-cleaning etc.). If you do not make your payment within these ten days, we will have to cancel your reservation. In the case of a cancellation, the minimum cancellation costs will be 125 Euro.
The payment of the rest of the rental sum and other costs (included costs for the house-cleaning and other optional and additional costs) will be expected to be paid 4 weeks before your arrival. You will receive an invoice.
We ask you to pay a deposit of 400 Euro (600 Euro if your party consists of more then 4 persons). This deposit will be paid back to you within 14 days after your departure on the bank account of your choice. We will use this deposit to cover additional costs or costs of repair of damages to the property or inventory caused by you or a member of your company.

Maintenance
The villa is taken care of by professional management. The caretaker will meet you at the airport and will show you around in the villa. Management will be available during your stay to answer your questions about the villa and to deal with any problems.

Damage to the property or inventory
We expect that you will use our home with care, as you do with your own home. Nevertheless, an accident can happen and something may be broken or damaged.
In the case you happen to make any damage to the villa or the inventory, please report to the management. Reported damage under 25 Euro will not be charged (if reported). Repair of other damage will be paid from your deposit.

Deposit
The deposit we ask you to make is 400 Euro (or 600 Euro if your party consists of more then four persons). Within 14 days of your departure we will refund it to you. If you decide to use our car, the deposit is raised by € 250,-.

What is included and what is not?
Included in the price you pay is: the normal use of electricity (6 KWH per paying person per night), water, and the clean-up before you arrive, the maintenance of the garden and the swimming pools. Linen and bed-clothes are included. Towels and tea-cloths are also included. And: you can eat the bananas and the coconuts!

Not included are: the excessive use of electricity (more then 6 KWH per paying person per night). There will be a meter-reading by you and the caretaker on the night you arrive and the day you leave. The clean-up at the end of you stay is also not included.

Some optional costs are not included: transport costs from and to the airport (40 Euro per car two ways). The use of the internet (adsl connection) is also not included ( 2,50 Euro per night. You can only rent the internet connection for your entire stay with us.

Special terms
The villa has a swimming pool for people who can swim and a pool for young kids. They are connected. The use of the swimming pools is at you own risk. The tiles around the pools can be wet and slippery. The proprietor and the management can not be held responsible for any damage to you or a member of your party during your stay in the villa. Please be careful!

Smoking policy
To the convenience of all our guests, our smoking policy is clear: it is not permitted inside the house, but on the premises (outside), you are allowed to do if you like. But please take care for fire as it can be dry and windy on Curaçao.

By renting the villa you agree with the above mentioned terms.
