The Villa
Villa Tropical is spacious and luxurious. It has two big livings, a porch on the front, a porch on the side of the villa and a large porch on the backside of the villa, near the swimming pools. There are five bedrooms that will accommodate 10 adults and 2 small kids.
All bedrooms are air conditioned. Big fans on the ceilings bring extra cooling. You will have three bathrooms.
The kitchen offers hot plates and gas rings on a fully detached block. There is a big refrigerator with a machine for ice cubes, an oven and a microwave. Of course there is a washing machine and a drier.

There is internet access in the villa (ADSL).

The Garden and the Swimming Pool
The villa is build to get the most of the trade winds. You can therefore enjoy the porches and the tropical green garden also in the daytime.

Villa Tropical offers you a lot of space on the outside as well: it is situated in a large tropical garden of  18000 square feet. The swimming pool is 24 by 12 feet and connected with a pool for small children. The pool is fenced for security reasons. Alongside the swimming pools is a shady terrace with hammocks. Use them! In the garden you will find a separate barbecue spot.

The garden is irrigated automatically from a deep well. In this very green garden you will find many different tropical plants and trees, like different kinds of palm trees, banana trees (you can eat the bananas of course), cashew trees and bougainvillea.  There is a big lawn in the garden. The fruits in the trees attract many different tropical birds like Banana quits, Troupials and Hummingbirds. You can see different kinds of lizards in the garden and even iguanas (not dangerous).

The location
Villa Tropical is located on the boarder of one of the best situated residential areas of Willemstad: Bottelier. Its location is very central: it takes a 5 minutes drive to some of the most beautiful and popular beaches of Curacao: Mambo Beach, Kontiki Beach, Zanta Beach, Baya Beach and the beach at Jan Thiel. One of the biggest supermarkets on the island is just a few hundred yards away. In the direct neighborhood you will find many restaurants with different cuisines: Miramar (Japanese), Il Forno (Italian), Zanzibar (beach restaurant with good pizza’s, fish and salads), Surf and Turf (on the beach with your feet in the warm sand), De Kleine Wereld (meaning: “The Small World”. Located on the shore of the Spanish Water) and many many more. In the villa you will find the latest restaurant guide of the island. A drive of less then 10 minutes will take you to Punda, the historic centre of Willemstad.

The Spanish Water is not more then 5 minutes away. There you can take some windsurfing lessons, hire surfing equipment or go for a sail. There is a horse riding school in the vicinity of the villa.

Car rental
There is the possibility to rent a Pickup during your stay: a Nissan Frontier, that offers room for 5 persons and a lot of luggage! Cut out for visiting the beaches and for the transportation of your diving equipment. Or you can rent a Kia Carens, good for six persons. Either way: No queuing and paperwork at the airport! The pickup or the Kia are ready for you on the parking lot of your own villa.

You can rent these cars for€ 45 / $65 per day or €290 / $ 420 per week. Drivers under the age of 25 are unfortunately excluded.
